GRL-6: 6 t/h Integrated Bitumen Emulsion Production
GRL-6 produces 6 t/h of standard or polymer-modified bitumen emulsion. Water heating, emulsifier dosing, bitumen and soap metering, colloid-mill shearing and the control system come pre-assembled in one 6.8 × 2.2 × 2.53 m board cabinet — one container to ship, one operator to run.
Why Contractors Choose GRL-6
-
6 t/h Output, One Operator
The full line is controlled from a single cabinet. One trained operator manages heating, dosing and output — no dedicated production crew needed.
-
One Cabinet, One Container
All process units come pre-piped and pre-wired in a board cabinet that loads into a single container. Relocating between project sites takes days, not weeks.
-
Standard + Modified Emulsion
The high-speed colloid mill produces both standard and polymer-modified emulsion — tack coat, chip seal, micro-surfacing and cold-mix with one machine.
-
Precise, Low-Power Heating
Total installed power stays under 34 kW. Process water is heated indirectly by 200–250 °C thermal oil with temperature measurement accurate to within 1 °C — stable formulation, lower running cost.
Which Feiteng Emulsion Plant Fits Your Project?
Choose GRL-6 for compact, mobile 6 t/h production with precision colloid milling. Need higher capacity? See the QRL Series (5–20 t/h, factory direct). Want capacity options in a simpler configuration? Compare the RL Series (RL-6 / RL-10).
Not sure which fits? Send us your target output and emulsion formulation — our engineers will recommend the right configuration within 24 hours.
Step 1 — Water and Bitumen Heating
Bring water and bitumen to process temperature
Thermal oil at 200–250 °C heats the 3 m³ water tank indirectly, while heat-traced pipelines keep liquid bitumen at working temperature. Indirect heating avoids local overheating — this matters because overheated water or bitumen degrades the emulsifier and destabilises the final emulsion. Temperature measurement stays accurate to within 1 °C, so the formulation you set is the formulation you get.
Step 2 — Soap Solution Preparation
Mix emulsifier solution in twin dosing tanks
Emulsifier solution is prepared in two 1.4 m³ dosing tanks working alternately: one tank feeds production while the other mixes the next batch, so the colloid mill never waits for soap. Switching between tanks follows a simple valve sequence operated from the control cabinet — continuous output without a second operator.
Step 3 — Metering
Meter bitumen and soap into the colloid mill
The variable-speed bitumen pump and soap flow control valve hold your target ratio precisely. The panel displays pump speed in Hz — at 6 m³/h output with 50% bitumen content the reference setting is about 360 rpm / 19 Hz — and the glass rotor flow meter lets the operator verify soap flow at a glance. Accurate metering is what keeps bitumen content consistent from the first tonne to the last.
Step 4 — Colloid Mill Shearing
Shear the mix into fine, stable emulsion
Inside the colloid mill, high-speed shearing disperses bitumen into the aqueous phase as fine, uniform droplets. Droplet fineness determines how long the emulsion stays stable in storage and how evenly it sprays on the road — and the same mill handles both standard and polymer-modified formulations without hardware changes.
Step 5 — Cooling and Discharge
Cool and discharge finished emulsion
Finished emulsion passes through the heat exchanger for controlled cooling, then discharges to your finished-product tank or directly to distributor trucks. If bitumen ever blocks the exchanger, the built-in reverse-heating cleaning mode clears it without disassembly — hours of downtime instead of days.
Main Components
-
Water Heating Tank
3 m³ tank heated by thermal oil, supplying process water for emulsifier solution preparation.
-
Twin Soap Solution Tanks
Two 1.4 m³ dosing tanks working alternately for continuous emulsifier supply during production.
-
Bitumen Pump
Variable-speed pump with panel speed display for precise bitumen metering into the mill.
-
Soap Pump
8 m³/h pump with flow control valve and rotor flow meter for accurate soap solution dosing.
-
Colloid Mill
Core high-speed shearing component forming fine, stable standard or modified bitumen emulsion.
-
Heat Exchanger
Handles process heat exchange; a reverse-heating cleaning mode clears bitumen blockages without disassembly.
-
Thermal Oil Heating / Heat Tracing
200–250 °C thermal oil heats process water indirectly and heat-traces the bitumen pipelines.
-
Control Cabinet
Centralized control of motors, pump speed, temperatures and production sequence — run by one operator.

GRL-6 FAQ
What is GRL-6 used for?
GRL-6 produces standard and polymer-modified bitumen emulsion for road construction and maintenance — tack coat, chip seal, micro-surfacing and cold-mix applications.
What is the production capacity?
6 t/h of finished emulsion. If you need 5–20 t/h factory-scale production, see the QRL Series emulsion plant.
What heating method does GRL-6 use?
Process water is heated indirectly by thermal oil at a working temperature of 200–250 °C, and bitumen pipelines are heat-traced with thermal oil — gentle, stable heating that protects the emulsifier.
Is the machine suitable for mobile projects?
Yes. The complete line is pre-assembled in a 6.8 × 2.2 × 2.53 m board cabinet that ships as one container-sized module and relocates between sites with minimal re-installation.
What are the payment terms?
Usually T/T: 30% down payment, balance before delivery. L/C is also accepted. Trade terms: EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF.
How long is the delivery time?
About 20 days of production time after the down payment is received.
What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?
One-year quality warranty after delivery, with online support included. We can also dispatch engineers to your site for installation, commissioning and operator training.
Does the price include installation and commissioning?
Installation and commissioning are quoted separately. Most customers complete installation with our online guidance; on-site engineer service is available on request.
What should I confirm before ordering?
Target output, emulsion formulation and bitumen content, power supply, site layout, finished-product storage, and destination port. Send these with your inquiry for an exact quotation.
