YDXL-28C: Keep Rubber Bitumen Hot, Mixed and Ready to Pump

Rubber bitumen is not a product you can park in a plain tank — crumb rubber settles fast, and the binder keeps developing after production. The DXL series storage tank (model YDXL-28C) is built for exactly that: a self-heating 28 m³ vessel with diesel-burner thermal oil heating, continuous agitation against settling, and an 18 m³/h insulated pump for supply and discharge. Paired with the YDXL-28S production unit, it completes the on-site rubber bitumen line.

Step 1 — Receiving

Receive finished rubber bitumen from the production unit

Each 20-ton batch from the YDXL-28S pumps across into the storage tank, freeing the production vessel for the next batch immediately. Two-vessel operation is what turns batch production into continuous paving supply.

Step 2 — Self-Heating Hold

Hold temperature with diesel-fired thermal oil

The built-in diesel burner heats thermal oil coils that keep the tank at working temperature under automatic control. Aerogel-plus-rock-wool insulation minimizes overnight losses — less diesel burned per ton held.

Step 3 — Agitation and Development

Agitate continuously while the binder develops

Variable-frequency agitators keep rubber particles suspended and let the binder finish developing during storage. Without this, rubber bitumen stratifies and the top and bottom of the tank become two different products.

Step 4 — Supply and Discharge

Pump to pavers and distributors at 18 m³/h

The insulated pump supplies downstream equipment or circulates back through the line, with a sampling valve for QC before discharge. Supply capacity is sized so the tank never becomes the bottleneck of a paving day.

What is YDXL-28C used for?

Heated, agitated storage of rubber and SBS modified bitumen — the buffer between batch production (YDXL-28S) and continuous paving supply.

Why can't rubber bitumen sit in a plain tank?

Crumb rubber settles within hours and the binder keeps developing after milling. Without agitation and temperature control, the tank contents stratify into two different products.

Does it need an external boiler?

No — the diesel burner and thermal oil system are built in. It runs wherever diesel fuel is available.

Can it be bought without the production unit?

Yes — YDXL-28C also serves plants that already produce rubber bitumen and only need proper storage. Most customers order the S+C pair for a complete line.

What are the payment terms?

Usually T/T: 30% down payment, balance before delivery. L/C is also accepted. Trade terms: EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF.

How long is the delivery time?

About 20 days of production time after the down payment is received.

What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?
