DLT-10: The Economical Drum Decanter for Sites With a Thermal Oil Boiler
DLT-10 decants, melts, heats and pumps drum-packed bitumen continuously at 8–10 t/h, using hot thermal oil from your external boiler as the heating source. Because there is no built-in burner, it is the most economical drum decanter in the Feiteng lineup — the right choice when your asphalt plant or site already runs a centralized thermal oil heating system.

Step 1 — Drum Feeding
Feed opened drums into the decanter
Opened drums are placed onto the feeding rack by the drum lifting system. Feeding runs in parallel with melting — while one batch is heated inside the chamber, the next batch is being loaded. This overlap is what keeps DLT-10 output continuous at 8–10 t/h rather than batch-by-batch, so your downstream plant never waits for bitumen.
Step 2 — Chamber Heating
Move drums through the upper heating chamber
The hydraulic propulsion system advances drum plates step by step through the upper heating chamber, where thermal oil coils wrap each drum in even, indirect heat. The gradual advance gives every drum a complete heating cycle — bitumen releases cleanly from the drum walls and empty drums exit with minimal residue, which means less wasted bitumen per drum.
Step 3 — Melting Pool
Melt bitumen into the lower chamber
Released bitumen drops into the 20 m³ lower chamber, which works as both melting pool and buffer storage. Thermal oil coils hold the pool at a stable temperature, so the downstream pump always receives bitumen in a consistent, pumpable state — even if drum feeding pauses for a shift change or reload.
Step 4 — Filtering and Pumping
Pump out to a storage tank
At pumping temperature, bitumen passes the in-line slag filter, which automatically traps drum debris and impurities. The bitumen pump then transfers clean liquid bitumen to your storage tank or asphalt plant — protecting downstream pumps, valves and spray equipment from blockage and cutting maintenance stops.
